Mailparser.io gives your email more meaning

Mailparser.io is a web application which allows you to automatically process incoming emails and convert them to a data format which better fits your needs. You can use it to extract tracking numbers, contact details, or any other kind of data that seems hidden in your emails.

Once you have signed up and set up your account, mailparser.io will automatically convert your emails into easy to handle Excel and CSV spread sheet files. If you are more tech savvy, you can also use JSON, XML, and HTTP webhooks. Since it is a web based application, it means you have nothing to install on your computer. Once you have set up your account, you will define data extraction rules, whichever options fit your needs, and you can begin extracting data in a few minutes. Since the program does the work for you, you do not need any technical knowledge to parse your emails.

Getting all vital info at a glance

Mailparser.io can extract the meta and text data of an email, as well as email attachments. Meaning, if you parse an email with an attachment, the spread sheet data you download will include the file name, size, type, and return a download link so that you can find it and access it, at a later date. This means you have all your vital email information available at a glance, rather than searching through your inbox for the sender, and they searching for the right attachment.

If you receive tracking or order numbers regularly via email, you no longer need to copy data from email to spread sheets. When you route your emails to mailparser.io, they will extract this information automatically for you (once you set your extraction rules). This extracted data will then be converted into a spread sheet format that you can download and access at any time. It is also much easier to share with other members of your team in this format. You do not need to open your email and search for files; everything will be in one spread sheet, ready for the next meeting.

Types of data you can extract

You can also extract data like: senders, recipients, subject matter, and almost everything in between. If you are regularly searching for key words, like, “contract,” you can set up mailparser.io to collect this information into one spread sheet as well. So not only do you have the data you need, but you have it organized, without spending time searching through your inbox. It will also give you an inbox overview, telling you how many emails you have received, how may were parsed into your specified fields, and easy downloading access.

Since your emails are routed directly through mailparser.io, I was interested in their privacy policy because they would need access to your account to parse the emails. I had to look around a bit to find it but it is under “terms of service.” They do use Google Analytics, so might want to read more about Google Analytics’ terms of service as well, if you are not familiar with them, before signing up.

Not a free tool, but useful for data-rich businesses

Mailparser.io is offering a free thirty day trial. Thereafter, they offer four different pricing options. The private level is $14/month and offers 600 emails/month and 1mb of downloading. And no custom extraction rules (custom extraction rules can be set up by mailparser.io if you need something specific parsed that is not in the data base, but with the built-in options, in my opinion, this would be a rarity).

For small businesses, $39/month will get you 1,800 emails/month and 3MB of downloading and no custom extractions. The business level offers 4,800 emails/month and 5MB of downloading. It also offers priority customer support for $89/month. And at the enterprise level you receive unlimited emails/month, 20MB of downloading, priority support, and custom extractions; however, the price is not stated. You are asked to contact them for a price if you need this option.
