Over the years, we have focused a great deal of energy on introducing our audience to high quality photography methods and photography and even debated whether or not photo editing of real estate photographs is ethical. Photoshop is one of the most common tools in a graphic designer’s tool kit where it has been for nearly 25 years.
The use of Photoshop has been called into question especially when used to revise a model or celebrity’s butt, face, arms, legs, abs, hips, chest, hair, face, skin, teeth, waist, etc. Reality can easily be bent by photo editing tools, but the video above asserts that Photoshop is all anyone needs in order to achieve beauty.
Film maker Jesse Rosten pokes fun at the use of Photoshop, noting that “this commercial isn’t real, neither are society’s standards of beauty.”
