Amplify your impact with unique business cards

Kick ass business card ideas

We have showcased tons of cool business card innovations over the years, but this one really is unique. A Singapore based agency, GOVT, has come up with a way to advertise for lighting design services, which will certainly grab your attention. The business card is almost an optical illusion.

The job title is broken down into unrecognizable strokes, and partial lettering on the card, and the full text is only available when the card is exposed to sun light. This could insure people hang on to your business card until after a promotional event, if for no other reason that the sheer novelty of the design. And if they leave with your card, they may just hang on to it. This is always a good thing.

Other cool business card ideas

In keeping with the novelty of business cards, you may remember the business card you could play Tetris on; now there is a card that can be turned in to a mini keyboard. The card is actually a printed circuit board that can be hacked and have keys attached to it. It connects to a computer via a USB cable and the pre-programmed software launches your homepage, Facebook page, or email client. Again, this is an excellent way to insure potential clients hold on to your card, albeit, a more costly one.

Finally, this series of cards is just for fun; Italian creative artists Benedetto Papi and Edoardo Santamato have envisioned the business cards pop culture characters would carry if they decided to quit their day jobs. They have looked at character from Game of Thrones to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The turtles would be selling artistic pizza, while House Stark would sell radiators. This is a good demonstration of what humor can do for a business card (where appropriate).

Regardless of what medium you choose to use to promote yourself; the old adage is true: pay attention to the details; they really do matter.
