This was one of the best BASHH events in history. Seriously. I’m not just saying that because it was held on my birthday either! We teamed up with an Austin icon- the Whole Foods National Headquarters rooftop and had a massive kegger!
The weather ended up being perfect and we listened to a great mix of Temper Trap and Far East Movement while sipping red wine (yes, I acknowledge that some of you stuck to beer) and overlooking the city.
Annie Ray set up a photobooth on the rooftop with a giant chalkboard and people went to town!
What was new this month… the birth of BASHH!
Until this month, it had been called BATHH (Big Ass Twitter Happy Hour), but we got so many messages from people, “do I have to be a Twitter expert to come?” “can I invite my friends who aren’t on Twitter?” “do you have to know someone that works at Twitter to RSVP?” and more. We rebranded as BASHH (Big Ass Social Happy Hour) to include more people and avoid confusion. It was a great choice as we’ve gotten literally no messages of confusion since!
Also new was the addition of roving photographer @ulovei who took some amazing shots like this one below of me pretending to be embarrassed that @BennRosales gathered everyone to sing happy birthday to me:
