Five Chrome extensions to spice up your blog and marketing

Do you ever feel that your blog or marketing could use a little flair, a little more personality? With so many blogs out there, it’s important to make yours stand out as something unique. There are many ways to spice up your marketing, but one easy way is to use a simple Chrome extension or app to add a little something extra to your pictures and blog images. Here are just a few options:

1. Picnik

Picnik – The Chrome Picnik Extension allows you to edit pictures and images that you find while surfing the internet. You can edit, annotate, embellish, and share your creations easily on your blog or social networking accounts. Whether you’re looking for a basic picture editing tool or something more powerful and extensive, The Picnik Extension caters to the entire spectrum of users, as it comes with modern and fun shapes, frames, effects, fonts for those who want to add a little flair and “professional-quality tools” for those who need a more substantial image editing extension.

UPDATE: Picnik has been acquired and shut down, but several founders joined forces to create PicMonkey, which feels like Picnik, but is better!

2. Psykopaint

Psykopaint – The free Psykopaint app for Chrome is advertised as “the missing link between photo-editing softwares (such as Photoshop) and painting softwares (such as Corel Painter).” Psykopaint is a photo painting tool through which you can paint a photo by using one of the six different brushes available to you. Part of the fun of this app is that Psykopaint picks the colors for you and makes completely new and eye-catching pictures.

3. BeFunky

BeFunky Photo Editor – This easy-to-use Chrome app is for those who want to create artistically pleasing photos without requiring technical photo-editing knowledge on either a phone or computer. With a total of 190 different effects available, you can create unique and professional-looking pictures with just a few clicks of your mouse. Some of the adjustable effects include hue, colors, brightness, and exposure. You can even add a little spice to your photos by adding unique shapes, frames, and speech bubbles.

You can retouch any picture or photo and even add some intricate effects to give your pictures a little more personality. You can layer pictures on top of each other to make visually appealing creations. Some features include blend mode, over 30 editing tools, database of effects for images, and can be imported from many photo-sharing sites.

5. Pixlr-o-matic

Pixlr-o-matic – Pixlr-o-matic is a Chrome app that lets you edit photos, even without having previous photo editing knowledge or experience. You can lighten, add borders and other bits of flair, and apply filters—creating a more vintage look to your modern picture. You can use this app either on your smartphone or on your computer.

Using an easy-to-use app or Chrome extension can give you what you need to make your blog incredible – plus, many of these extensions also have Android apps, so you can even photo blog from your phone! Whether you use your blog to keep your friends and family members updated on your life, you use it for your business, or you sell advertising space, utilizing any of the five programs can take your blog from boring to brilliant. And that will always keep your readers coming back for more.
