Simple marketing tactic
With the rise of reusable grocery bags being used in mainstream America, the bags are no longer just used by downtown hippies. Go to a conference and you get a reusable tote, get a new bank account, get a tote, pledge to PBS, get a tote, etc.
Koozies are out, pens are okay, but reusable bags are useful, thoughtful, and end up being a walking billboard. Most don’t discriminate on what logo is on a bag, so why not add your logo to the mix of bags used by every day shoppers?
For about a dollar a bag, you can get custom work done and present closing gifts in the bag or give them away at local events. They last for a long time and are (not surprisingly) reused over and over again and is a great branding opportunity.
There are many local, national and web companies that offer bag printing and one we like is CustomBagsHQ which is really straightforward and it is extremely helpful that you can get a sample with your logo on it before spending money.
If you order reusable grocery bags, send one to AGBeat headquarters, we’re plastic bag free!

I did this this past Christmas, I sent 2 per homeowner we closed with and to folks who still refer us. I will do again, everyone seemed to like it and I forgot to save a few for myself.

Missy, not one Realtor has ever sent a reusable tote, but I have a ridiculous collection (with my fave being the insulated one from a local bank). I think everyone should use them- good on ya!! 😀
