Combining tradition with technology to better target urban areas, Better Homes Realty has acquired web-based real estate company, Condo Domain.

Better Homes’ big acquisition

Better Homes Realty has acquired Condo Domain for an undisclosed amount in order to expand its market share in urban and condo markets, targeting September 2012 for their new brand launch date. The two companies will maintain their own unique identities and full suite of marketing and sales collateral that seeks to allow agents within the company to be both local and national.

Vecchio tells AGBeat that Better Homes Realty has been a technology based company for many years, with this acquisition adding depth to their innovations, to “propel what we already have in place.” The acquisition includes the talent from Condo Domain, and the in-house systems and technologies they have become so well known for.

Strengths and weaknesses

Having evaluated their strengths (technology, online consumer engagement) after eight years in the business, Condo Domain also evaluated where they had room for improvement. Founder Anthony Longo tells AG that the company began quietly seeking a partner to strengthen their real estate business and boost their ability to recruit, train, and operate.

During that search, Longo met Vecchio, a long time real estate industry veteran who understands the intersection between the traditional real estate practice and innovations in technology. Also attractive to Longo was Vecchio’s title and mortgage components, so together, they feel that the complete package has come to fruition, and they have ambitious plans for the company.
