$Cashtags laughs at the inefficiencies of modern payments
Paper money is increasingly going by the wayside. Wire transfers and direct deposit, however, come with a slew of symptoms, such as slow processing, poor service on business days, and an overall delay of gratification. Additionally, sending money from one bank to another is often met with hefty fees and service charges, resulting in angry customers and inefficient business. Thankfully, with the relatively new app $Cashtags, it is easy to negate all of the above in favor of a painless, efficient payment tool.
Solving some major painpoints
$Cashtags—adorable name aside—is the answer to the frustrating problem of delayed wire transfers, unreliable online services, and incompatible bank accounts (I struggle with Chase’s patented method of payment on an almost daily basis, and it’s hardly the worst culprit). Irritated that your billing will take up to the standard three to five business days to transfer? Relax; with $Cashtags, transactions take place instantly, at nearly half the processing rate of PayPal (a mere 1.5 percent, as opposed to 2.9 percent)—and that’s just the business side of the app. According to their site (https://cash.me/), informal transactions are quick, simple, and best of all, free.
Another component in the immediate attractiveness of this app is its cross-platform compatibility. The site claims usability across the board, “even if they [the recipient] don’t have an account”. In a single platform, Square Cash managed to do what PayPal and QuickPay could not: make payments to anyone, at any time, regardless of what bank they use or what operating system they have installed. In the interest of saving in the long run (in the interest of interest, essentially), businesses and employees alike would do well to keep an eye on this developing tool.
An overwhelmingly positive review
At the time of this writing, $Cashtags is available on both iOS and Android operating systems. Both versions have nearly perfect ratings on their respective sites. This author’s personal use of the app has been overwhelmingly positive thus far, as well—$Cashtags may indeed be the best wire transfer alternative currently out there.
