Cocoon Cam is a baby monitor on tech steroids

Your bundle of joy

Remember how frightening it was when your newborn was hooked up to various wires, monitors, and computers before coming home? Although they may be necessary, there’s a certain discomfort witnessing something so precious hooked up to so many different computers. So once you do finally bring baby home, you don’t want to see another wire or monitor near them.

However, if you want to keep up with whats going on with baby- if they cry, move, or wake up- that seems to be the only option on the market. More wires, and wearable monitors. That is until Cocoon Cam, a new video and wellness monitor was introduced to us. This noninvasive, non wearable device allows you to keep up with baby without all the wires.

Notifies you of any changes

In order to use this neat little device all you have to do is set up the Cocoon Cam and download the mobile app. Once you’ve done that, you automatically have access to around-the-clock insight on the wellbeing of your child, along with live status updates no matter where you are. These status updates include patterns of baby’s breathing, temperature changes, cries, and movements;  the more you use it, the better acclimated it becomes to those movements, and henceforth more useful. If anything does come back as abnormal, like an unusually high temperature, Cocoon Cam will notify you right away and send a ping to your phone.

More benefits than meets the eye

All of this, without one single wire, mat, or other contraption being connected to your child. The developers at Cocoon Cam also assert, that aside from the obvious no wires, no hassle function of their product, there are plenty more benefits to this device.

First, we all know how long it takes for baby to settle down, and get to sleep. Why ruin that by peeking your head in or standing over the crib? Instead, check your smartphone for their status, and avoid interrupting their sleep you worked so hard for.

Second, because it is not a wearable device, parents don’t have to worry about the unknown and non-researched side effects of other similar products that require direct contact with the baby.

Lastly, it helps teach you more about your baby’s sleep habits, which is extremely important in the first year of life, when doctors recommend they sleep on their backs to avoid complications. With Cocoon Cam you’ll know exactly when they flip off their back and onto their tummy.

Expecting? Get a launch discount

Again, all of those benefits, with one simple, non invasive device.

So, if you are looking for a safer, non contact way to continuously track heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature and other things from your baby, Cocoon Cam is definitely the way to go. The product hasn’t been released yet, but definitely go to their website to receive a discount when they launch.
