Composure helps you auto-complete email at lightning speeds

Composure wants you to quit wasting time in your email inbox

When you are faced with a seemingly endless stream of email in the morning, Composure can help. As you compose an email, the app analyzes the message’s content in real time, using natural language processing (NLP) techniques.

The app will auto-complete relevant phrases extracted automatically from your own sent mail, saving you time and reducing the chance of errors. The information extracted can range from the right greeting for a client to setting up meeting details with days and times already selected. It will can also auto-complete legal disclaimers, default responses for unwanted solicitation, and much more. All the automatic information can change based on the content of your email as well.

So, if you are writing an email to a client, then need to write a quick message to a coworker, Composure will change your auto-complete selections from client-based to coworker-based. Instead of seeing “conference time is at 2pm on Friday,” you will see: “have you received the message about the staff meeting? The time was changed;” allowing you to automate messages that have repetitive content quickly and easily.

How the Composure algorithms work

Composure’s algorithms work on your own machine, so your business and information stays private; they will never see your email. There is no setup. Just install the add-in and it is ready to use.

It is optimized for Outlook users, so you can write emails just like before, only faster. Co-founders Mitchell Quille and Dan Tse came up with the idea for Composure after catching up with a friend who worked in the law industry, according to StartupSmart. Their friend was explaining how much time was lost every day sending the same, repetitive emails to everyone and thought there should be a better way to manage emails. And the idea for Composure was born.

Currently it only works with Outlook, but since it is still in private beta, there is a chance for further development into other email platforms (hint: we really want to use it in Gmail!). It is definitely worth a look if you are an Outlook user.
