Do homes marketed as energy efficient sell faster? Infographic

Making for a fast sale

The One Block Off the Grid blog focuses on solar energy, discounts on panels, information on solar and the like and has recently released an infographic based on National Renewable Energy Labs studies that found homes with solar panels sold in an average of 23 months while non-solar panel homes average 28 months, stats that we find don’t jive with other sources, but perhaps they are local numbers for a specific state. It is also interesting that a solar blog would give advice on how to sell a home more quickly, but we digress – we’re seeing similar stats that buyers are more interested in energy efficiency than in years past and some actually seek out certifications, so we agree that marketing a home as “our electric bill averages $8 per month” is superior to “our solar panels product 6 kilowatt hours daily.”

Take a look at the infographic below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
