Eight great looks for the home
We love anything out of the ordinary, anything that pops and anything that adds fun to a home. Part of a Realtor’s job is to help people dream of their life in a new home and knowing some exciting interior and exterior design trends can help any agent say, “ooh, and when you move in, you could get some of those vinyl address numbers in a cool font for your door!” to help a buyer commit to a home in their mind or to stay excited about a nerve-wracking purchase.
Exterior design is more permanent than interior design and is typically less experimental, but with these eight options, you have a lot to choose from. Vinyl address stickers
Vinyl decals with various fonts can make any entryway endlessly gorgeous. Not up for painting your door? Make an impact with typography! Custom vinyl stickers are found all over and are inexpensive. Get started at Etsy.com.
Modern brushed metal
Mod-era font in brushed metal is a hot trend we are seeing. This is an uncommon font, but one you can request that is similar is Wade Sans Light which is true to the era (click here to see the font online).
Hand painted tiles
Hand-glazed custom tiles as house numbers can be a warm welcome to any home. Commission them locally or find talavera tiles online at indie artist sites like Etsy.com and range in price depending on how custom, and sometimes can be found already painted inexpensively at home decor stores.
Spell it out
If a home has a short number as its house number, why not spell it out like in this photo? Modern san serif fonts would look great as the address above, and many custom home number companies will let you pick any font. Get inspired by clicking here for some modern fonts.
Square is hip
We adore the square copper plate house numbers with art deco font! These can be replicated by installing copper plates with standard metal numbers over them, or pulling them all together in one creative address sign could work with some house styles. Get creative with it, try this option.
Color + digits = awesome
Besides the amazing orange door, we love that this design opts to put the house numbers on the actual door rather than the expected front column. Creative!
