Oooh, googly goggles! Visual search introduced
PC World played around with it today and shares some wicked screen shots that makes it easy to understand how it works.
The downside
Google Goggles is only a few hours old, so as you can imagine, it’s not very robust yet. If you’re in Clute, TX, it probably won’t recognize the IHOP as a location, but if you’re in New York City, you’ll probably have more luck with your visual search. If you Goggle search a book cover of a rare book, it may not be there yet, but the Bible or a Koontz novel will probably show up. It’s in its infancy and it’s growing, but this technology has some massive implications for the real estate industry which we’ll be outlining in the coming days.
