I’m On Twitter, Now What?
Now that you have the 12 step program to get set up on Twitter, you’ll need to grow your network. You’ve planted the seed, now let’s water it and fertilize it so you don’t have to talk to yourself (which seriously, I did when I got started even as a joke… “hey @LaniAR how are ya?” “oh @LaniAR I’m great, I just ate spaghetti.”).
Check Your Karma
Today we’re going to rock your Twitter world with Twitter Karma. What’s that? It’s a website you go to, sign in with your Twitter username and password, hit “WHACK!” (for whatever reason) and immediately, all of your followers and those you follow are listed.
I love that you can easily scan to see who isn’t following you yet (like in the beginning, my friend @PhoenixREGuy who luvs me but didn’t realize he wasn’t tweeting with me, so I emailed him- problem solved). You can also see who you accidentally missed and there is even a “bulk follow” or “bulk unfollow” feature if you like everyone and want to follow them back OR you need to start all over and unfollow everyone and individually select your buddies. This tool is a great visual for your Twitter network and a wonderful way to insure you didn’t overlook someone or Twitter didn’t send you a notification! Twitter Karma is a work in progress and isn’t always perfect (especially since it relies on Twitter’s reliability), but it sure beats the heck out of not knowing at all who is with you on Twitter!
