This Site Rocks!
I stumbled in to GreenTowns.com thanks to the Green Resources Council and am thrilled to be sharing a fun new toy/tool for us to geek out on. What a fabulous resource. There are severals ways that I can see it being useful to us:
- It might have great answers to questions you don’t know about sustainability in your community and inform you about some cool happening in your area you can pass along to your audience. You know the rule, be the source of the source.
- I answered all of the questions in the “How Green is your Town” section and am hoping I get to be one of the “experts” in our area. GreenTowns has partnered with NAR to offer Green Designees the opportunity to promote their designations and serve as community experts in the forums.
- If you are an active part of promoting a culture of sustainability within your community, this is a great way to promote the initiatives or projects you are involved with.
With the simplicity and non commercial look and feel of GreenTowns, it seems like it’s the perfect mix of informative and interactive for todays tech savvy consumer without raising their skeptical ranker. I know of nothing like this that can serve as both a national and local networking tool and offer a way to showcase your green expertise. Hopefully I will see some of you in GreenTown.
