Brad –
This will be the third Connect conference I will have attended. Most (1,2,3,4,8) aren’t answered there, IMHO – they’re answered here. The value I have found at Inman is this – you get to see who the traditional leaders are, and gauge their reactions, both in conversation and body language, to some of the discussions. In addition, the Beer with Bloggers (which I’m sadly missing this year) is invaluable, and I suspect that the RE BarCamp (also missing) will be far more valuable for Realtors who actually practice real estate than Connect will be.
That said, I’m looking forward to meeting others (again) and to hearing Merlin Mann speak, as well as CR from Calculated Risk. Hugh MacLeod was great last year.

I tihk the most important “schwag” you can take away from any professional conference is ideas/knowledge. If used properly Its return on investment is much more than any can cozy or mousepad.

Not to get off topic, but…
First the Ramones now the Descendents? I officially am a fan of Brad now.
Wish I had my iPod on me right now.

@Matt Glad you caught my Descendants reference and glad to have fans. There are more punk rockers than I expected in the re 2.0 world.

Paula you are way cool. Lani is being very bad having a title like that for the post. I will speak to her, and maybe even send her to her room.

I am feeling much better now 🙂 Really though, even the uncool kids at AG, who are not attending are still cool company to keep.

Definitely more punks than one might expect! But who else to be on the edge? I’m also a new found fan of Brad’s (always liked him but now even more!) ;?) I think the tie threw me a bit… lol!

Brad; The best part of any meeting is the people – that being said some chocolate from Sf owuld not be a bad consolation. Anyone who isn’t there is a loss to all of us – we ALL want to hang out together – so maybe VAR’s next party in Baltimore ? Or NAR in Orlando –

With CR there, the shirt should read. “The truth? You can’t handle the truth!”

Driving a Jeep Wrangler while listening to the blues makes me cool. Hanging with the RE techie crowd makes me smart. Since I’m vacationing at the beach this week instead of attending Inman or RE Bar Camp, I’ll be following the tweets. That is, if Twitter can handle it!
@Bill Lubin I’m on board for NAR in Orlando. Let’s plan a tweet-together for all the cool and smart RE techies.
