Former board director arrested
Former Executive Director of the Kosciusko County Board of Realtors (KBOR), Elizabeth Irene Kennedy, has been arrested for allegedly funneling board for personal use. Kosciusko County serves Realtors in the county which is north of Indianopolis.
After a three month long investigation by Warsaw Police, Kennedy was booked into Kosciusko County Jail on two counts of felony theft for allegedly stealing $28,000 from the KBOR account, making purchases for herself, her family and an acquaintance “consistently” during her time as the Executive Director of KBOR.
Kennedy’s role at KBOR began in 2003 and investigators allege that the personal use of board funds began as far back as 2004 and had increased in frequency from 2009 to 2011 when she stepped down from her post in May when the fraudulent use of funds was discovered. According to local paper Times-Union, Kennedy is free after posting a $5,000 bond. There is no word yet as to when Kennedy will go before the court.
