New search tool hits the market
Real estate search company HotPads.com has announced a new search tool called “Property Management Finder” which the company tells us is “designed to make the lives of property managers and owners much easier.” The tool is a product of the company’s users trying to filter down to the management company behind a listing, thus a discovery engine for local property managers was born. It is currently available in over 60 cities with 400 management companies represented – HotPads says these numbers will continue to grow.
We find this feature to be particularly interesting as a recent onslaught of anti-property management tools have hit the market to empower landlords to manage their own properties, but HotPads is emphasizing the existing talent which Realtors that manage properties are likely to appreciate and enjoy.
The two goals, according to HotPads was to help property owners quickly find local management services and additionally to help property managers get discovered faster, a feature that management companies have already responded well to.
Paul Gleger, HotPads Director of Marketing and Communications said, “Given the broader market trend favoring rental properties, we’re convinced the demand for property management services will follow. As you can imagine, we’re excited to be one of the few early entrants into the “property management search” space.”
