Real estate’s power moves of 2010- Genius30 Awards

Real estates power moves of 2010 award winners - Genius30 - AgentGeniusAgentGenius is proud to present Real Estate’s Power Moves of 2010 award winners. Our first annual list is a culmination of this year’s news makers in real estate technology, marketing, politics, consumer protection, brokerage, ethics, social media, philanthropy, economics, real estate search, mobile, startups, associations among other categories.

We’ve covered and followed hundreds of real estate news stories both good and bad in 2010 and narrowing such a list in a period of economic insecurity to revitalization in the real estate market was no easy feat, but we believe we’ve captured the essence of real estate’s power moves of 2010 including a special tribute to one of real estate’s most esteemed.

Would have been helpful to put links to these people so if we did not know who they are we could have learned about them

You forgot Marc Savitt of the NAIHP. He’s done so much for the industry it’s ridiculous. And Kanjorski? He screwed everyone during Dodd Frank and HVCC.

Fred, thank you for opining, we appreciate your passion. The list only honors 30, we narrowed it down from a much larger list of power moves and we believe Kanjorski’s move to protect USDA funding (not his prior acts) was worthy. -Lani

Lani- I will still disagree. The Congressman singlehandedly help continue to destroy values of American homes along with trying to help a greedy group at NAMB that wanted to continue ripping people off for appraisal prices.

If he did not propose the USDA issue, there are other Congresspeople that were working towards that goal too. He just happened to get the political cover at the time because of his area and the fact he was behind in the polls and the D’s were in charge. Simple as that. That’s why you should retract him.

H.R.5017 was really submitted by Rep Shelley Capito of WV but Chairman Frank made sure the Rep Kanjorski got credit for it because of his re-election troubles.

I do have direct knowledge of this and if you want more info, email me.

We are going on the name of the bill and what OpenCongress states as the sponsor but you’re right, we weren’t personally there. We’ll take your word for it, your comment here suffices.
