Worth (National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts senior VP of research and investor outreach), Roy Wright (FEMA deputy associate administrator), and Lawrence Yun (NAR chief economist).<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a sneak peek of what to not miss at this year\u2019s NAR Midyear:<\/p>\n<h2>Tuesday, May 16<\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nar.realtor\/educsessmid.nsf\/allpages\/MY17RegIssuesForum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Regulatory Issues Forum<\/a>, 10-11:30AM<\/strong><br \/>\nDr. Ben Carson will share the new administration\u2019s housing priorities and discuss the Federal Housing Administration\u2019s efforts to ensure access to mortgage credit. Roy Wright, FEMA deputy associate administrator for insurance and mitigation, will speak on the National Flood Insurance Program\u2019s current and future plans.<\/p>\n<h2>Thursday, May 18<\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nar.realtor\/educsessmid.nsf\/allpages\/17MYEconomicResidential\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Residential Economic Issues and Trends Forum<\/a>, 8-10AM<\/strong><br \/>\nNAR chief economist Lawrence Yun will share market expectations for 2017. Get up to date with U.S. homeownership rates with Jonathan Spader, Joint Center for Housing Studies senior research associate. Bonus: Mark Calabria, Chief Economist to Vice President Mike Pence, will offer market insights and the current administration\u2019s view of the industry\u2019s future.<\/p>\n<h2>Thursday, May 18<\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nar.realtor\/educsessmid.nsf\/allpages\/17MYEconomicCommercialForum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Commercial Economic Issues and Business Trends Forum<\/a>, 1-3PM<\/strong><br \/>\nLawrence Yun is discussing economic activity, monetary policy, and future conditions of the commercial market. He will be joined by Dr. John Worth, senior VP for Research and Investor Outreach at the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, who will give insights on publicly listed company developments.<\/p>\n<h2>Friday, May 19<\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nar.realtor\/educsessmid.nsf\/allpages\/17MYRealtorUsession\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Housing Markets are International<\/a>, 10:30am-12pm<\/strong><br \/>\nLawrence Yun will lead the forum, discussing the impact of foreign buyers and immigrants on U.S. housing demand.
