Another list dominated by Texas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Part of modern life is relocating, and our American population frequently shuffles the deck. As suburbs add subdivisions, or once blight areas are reinvigorated, or urban areas become hot again, people move across town. As industries shift and jobs are lost an gained, we pack up and go where the employment is. <\/p>\n<p>So who is leading when it comes to growth? The South and the West, as communities in these areas dominate population growth trends of late. Our demographics are shifting, and while some areas are losing their residents, others are gaining wildly (I mean, a place called Zionsville in Indiana grew <em>77 percent<\/em> in just three years). <\/p>\n<p>Analyzing census data, the fine folks over at <a href=\"https:\/\/sparefoot.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">SpareFoot<\/a> created a graphic to demonstrate the population shift: <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.sparefoot.com\/7863-us-population-growth-infographic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/theamericangenius.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/sparefoot-population-1-infographic.png\" alt=\"sparefoot-population-1-infographic\" width=\"700\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4022\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theamericangenius.com\/housing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/06\/sparefoot-population-1-infographic.png 1000w, https:\/\/theamericangenius.com\/housing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/06\/sparefoot-population-1-infographic-48x300.png 48w, https:\/\/theamericangenius.com\/housing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/06\/sparefoot-population-1-infographic-768x4783.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>The population swells<\/h2>\n<p>Once again, a list points to Texas as a place of population growth, and many from outside of the state (where we are headquartered) don&#8217;t understand how big the state is, how much room for growth we have, and how <em>not<\/em> landlocked we are. Further, the population has increased at a relatively predictable pace for over a decade, with hundreds of thousands moving to the Lone Star State every year. <\/p>\n<p>That said, did you notice the standouts?
