Homebuyers, especially first time buyers, were at the mercy of an overall economic recession, as well as a roller coaster of peaks and plummets in the housing market. <\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><i class=\"icon-bookmark\"><\/i> <strong>Read also: <a href=\"https:\/\/therealdaily.com\/board-associations\/realtor-running-for-local-board-of-directors-criticized-for-racist-social-media-posts-wheres-the-line\/\">Should real estate agents post racist content on Facebook?<\/a><\/strong><\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/theamericangenius.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/the-real-daily-news.png\" alt=\"bar\" width=\"100\" height=\"19\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-91813\" \/><br \/>\nFirst time homebuyers of all kinds suffered declines in their net worth if they bought a house during the Great Recession.
