It is so much less appeasing to touch a box on a smartphone app to signify completion (though there generally are some cool sound effects).

From pen-to-paper to your screen

Finally, an app has come along that combines the elements of pen-to-paper with simple technology.

And, this is great, because, let’s face it, how many times have we left our to-do lists at work when we need them at home? This app let’s you carry your to-do list with you wherever you go.

Cleverly named “TeuxDeux,” the app is designed simply to give the feel of a traditional to-do list. According to the website, “If you like making to-do lists, you will love TeuxDeux. The idea was to build a bare-bones, but visually compelling and highly usable to-do app: Use the browser-based TeuxDeux at work/home and then take your to-dos on the road with the iPhone app.”

Recurring items & separate lists

Features of the app include: recurring to-dos, custom lists, and markdown support. What this means is, you can set items on a recurring basis (such as a monthly bill that must be paid), you can make separate lists for things such as groceries or chores, and you can format your list by bolding words that are important.

The application has been in the works since 2009 and was designed by Swiss Miss and built by Fictive Kin. TeuxDeux relaunced in 2013 with Destroy Today leading the overhaul.

Test drive the sample

The website allows for interactivity for users before officially trying the system. The homepage has a sample to-do list that a user can test-drive. The desktop version is laid out in a weekly format and is presented in notebook paper style.

TeuxDeux is both smartphone and desktop based. The iPhone app is now available for free download in conjunction with a 30-day free trial of the system.

#Productivity

Your Reminders app doesn’t quite hold up to physically crossing an item off your to-do list, and no other app has compared – until TeuxDeux.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[93
608,433,455,688
post-5848","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-real-estate-tech","tag-apps","tag-productivity","tag-tech","tag-teuxdeux
["GET
