If you’re gearing up for SXSW Interactive in Austin, you’ve probably seen the enigmatic brand name Ten-X<\/a>, and wondered what they are, aside from a pretty cool name. Well, Ten-X says they provide an online platform that removes the aura of mystery and complexity that is seemingly involved in a home sale or purchase.<\/p>\n

We’ve seen this move before, so we’re curious how Ten-X stands apart (particularly because they call themselves the “nation’s leading online marketplace for real estate” prior to ever launching). <\/p>\n

They say they have created a new avenue for home sellers, homebuyers, and their agents when it comes to transacting real estate. The Ten-X online platform<\/a> says they offer simple listing, negotiating, and transacting tools designed to bring transparency, convenience, and simplicity back to the entire process.<\/p>\n

Exposure<\/h2>\n

No matter if you are buying or selling, access is what consumers are demanding. That is what Ten-X seems to be all about. This startup says they have a marketing machine invented to pin-point the right buyers for a home at the right time, reaching everyone from neighbors down the street to buyers from across the globe.<\/p>\n

They say they provide buyers, sellers, and their agents with relevant information, real-time updates, and tools to maximize on their investment. <\/p>\n

Talk is cheap<\/h2>\n

No matter what business you\u2019re in, it\u2019s not what you say; it\u2019s what you prove. That is never more true than in real estate. Thanks to its sister company (see below), Ten-X is amplifying the power of their proven platform to give individual real estate buyers and sellers a new, transparent online marketplace that puts the power of real estate transactions back in the hands of the buyer or seller.<\/p>\n

Auction.com<\/h2>\n

Ten-X has also acquired Auction.com<\/a> which spreads out the Ten-X footprint considerably.In case you missed it, Auction.com\u00a0is the nation\u2019s leading marketplace for residential and commercial real estate investors<\/a>, having sold over 200,000 properties since 2007. Leveraging desktop and mobile technology,\u00a0Auction.com\u00a0allows people to safely and easily complete real estate transactions entirely online.<\/p>\n

Ten-X is ramping up for a March launch and seems to be hoping to make a splash at SXSW Interactive, so while we haven’t gotten to dig around in the platform with high claims, we intend to. Stay tuned. <\/p>\n
