Actually renters are going to rent before they make their first home purchase. <\/p>\n<p>At least that\u2019s according to the\u00a0February\u00a02016\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.realtor.org\/reports\/realtors-confidence-index\">REALTORS\u00ae\u00a0Confidence Index Survey Report<\/a> which discovered that \u201cHome buyers who were renting immediately prior to their recent home purchase accounted for 38 percent of sales in February 2016.\u201d<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><i class=\"icon-bookmark\"><\/i> <strong>Read also: <a href=\"https:\/\/therealdaily.com\/big-data\/pending-home-sales-contracts-signed-improve-february\/\">Home sales improve solidly in most recent report<\/a><\/strong><\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/theamericangenius.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/the-real-daily-news.png\" alt=\"bar\" width=\"100\" height=\"19\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-91813\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>The numbers don&#8217;t lie<\/h2>\n<p>Don\u2019t think that 38 percent of sales represent any kind of significant benchmark. According to Yun, it\u2019s time for homebuilders to double their focus on constructing single-family homes.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>The latest NAR survey also discovered that:<\/h2>\n<p>Sustained job creation and the low cost of obtaining a mortgage continue to support housing demand. However, lack of supply across many states is weighing on sales and driving up prices, making homes less affordable especially for first-time buyers.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>First-time home buyers accounted for 30 percent of sales.
