On different floors of course.<\/p>\n<p>Such is the vision of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wework.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">WeWork<\/a> which has taken a simple concept (provide alternatives to working at home by refurbishing commercial real estate and turning them into shared working environments) and turned the startup\/entrepreneur community on its ear. Along the way, WeWork has altered neighborhoods and real estate, bringing in hundreds of people to a common space while at the same time pumping new blood into the ailing office\/warehouse real estate market.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><i class=\"icon-bookmark\"><\/i> <strong>Read also: <a href=\"https:\/\/therealdaily.com\/real-estate-tech\/real-estate-startups\/\">Startups are making real estate more efficient (or are they?)<\/a><\/strong><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>More than a desk<\/h2>\n<p>At all WeWork locations (There are currently have 19 building in three countries), points out the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/life-style\/real-estate\/wework-alternative-working-home-swanky-buildings-nyc-article-1.1044412?pgno=1#ixzz2e46Iipo5\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">NYTimes,<\/a> \u201cCreative energy is off the charts.\u201d Fresh-out-of-school 20-somethings are masters of their own universe. Like-minded individuals bask in the shared excitement of making a difference (in addition to making money). In May, reports the Times, \u201cStartups at WeWork raised $1.5 million in capital.\u201d But that wasn\u2019t enough. Who has time to go home? If these young Turks gotta work then of course they gotta sleep.<\/p>\n<p>An article <a href=\"https:\/\/money.cnn.com\/2016\/04\/04\/technology\/wework-launches-welive\/index.html?section=money_realestate\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Money.CNN.com<\/a> explains that recently, \u201cThe company unveiled its newest endeavor: housing. The units range from studios to four bedrooms (which sleep up to eight people) with one or two restrooms per unit. All spaces are fully furnished.<\/p>\n<p>By its own accord, WeWork mission is to create an opportunity \u201cFor people to take advantage of both the living and working spaces.\u201d And what\u2019s really cool is that it\u2019s affordable: WeWork won&#8217;t require residents to prove that they can pay forty times the monthly rent (typical of renters in New York City). WeLive seems like a good fit for the area as Crystal City is already configured as a self-contained city.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>Those were the days<\/h2>\n<p>When I was younger and full of piss and vinegar (as opposed to being older and still full of the same), I loved living in the commonality of a dorm room.
