How to find a real estate photographer that isn’t horrible

If you’ve ever looked for a real estate photographer, you know that most of them have a Geocities website from 1994, a portfolio of ugly shots of ugly houses taken with janky cameras and a complete failure to do any digital processing. But every now and then, you’ll come across a rare gem that is the quality photographer.

We have an ongoing series featuring high quality real estate photographers and after a long time of seeking them out, we’ve found a magical shortcut we’d like to share with you!

What is this magical shortcut? The World Wide Real Estate Photographer Directory hosted over at PhotographyForRealEstate.net (PFRE), a site devoted completely to the pursuit of quality real estate photography.

PFRE’s Larry Lohrman has just started their Best of the Best series wherein PFRE readers (made up mostly of real estate photographers) vote on the best of the best of their Flickr group and results posted are top notch. This is a great way to learn about well established and up and coming real estate photographers.

So skip some steps and visit the Photographer Directory and check in on the Best of the Best to find talent and put your listings in the best light possible.
