Hyperbole high on iPad release- it’s really kind of sad and funny

Let us pray…

As per usual the Apple crowd is/was out in full force, some in line over 24 hours awaiting the latest release from Apple known as the iPad. Whatever bad you’ve read about iPad is irrelevant today as die hard Apple fans gather around the false idol for worship and praise offering alms of upwards of $500 bucks to feed the hungry in Cupertino and Wallstreet. Trust me, I’m not a hater, I love just about anything that Apple puts out just as much as the next guy, but quite frankly, wallowing in all of the seven deadly sins for a piece of technology is beyond all understanding as Apple takes on God for eyeballs and worship.

Engadget does the best job of cutting the crap, right after it points out the hype …

“The Apple iPad. The name is a killing word — more than a product — it’s a statement, an idea, and potentially a prime mover in the world of consumer electronics”

“Apple has been readying itself for what could be the most significant product launch in its history; the making (or breaking) of an entirely new class of computer for the company. The iPad is something in between its monumental iPhone and wildly successful MacBook line — an usurper to the netbook throne, and possibly a sign of things to come for the entire personal computer market… if Apple delivers on its promises. And those are some big promises; the company has been tossing around words like “magical” and “revolutionary””

Do I think this technology has amazing potential? Of course I do, but the problem is the potential result doesn’t exist yet as it’s all fabricated within the hopeful and prayerful minds of the die hard (blowhard) fan. Should you buy an iPad?Sure, why not. Everyone else is doing it.

Amen.

Happy Easter…
