Is the Hot Pepper Pitch the hottest SXSW Interactive event ever? Yup.

Our new favorite Southby event

In what we hope will become a SXSW tradition, Seed Sumo hosted a “Hot Pepper Pitch” this weekend where entrepreneurs ate peppers while simultaneously pitching their startup in under two minutes.

The startup accelerator teamed up with Hot Pepper Gaming which is a YouTube channel featuring three friends that review the latest video games while eating super hot peppers.

The Hot Pepper Pitch offered a $1,000 grand prize and $500 second place prize, and whether startups won or not, they were given exposure and the Pitch acted as a potential gateway into the Seed Sumo accelerator program.
