Link Bubble for Android seriously rocks
Chris Lacy is the developer behind the ActionLauncher, which has become a staple for Android users, and he has now unveiled his newest project, Link Bubble, which is a ridiculously awesome way to open links on your Android phone or tablet.
Normally, when you click a link with your finger on an Android device, whether posted on Twitter or Facebook, your device opens it in the web browser, and when the page loads and you’re done with it, you simply close the browser and switch back.
Forget normal. Link Bubble uses Android’s ability to draw interface elements over running apps to open links without launching the web browser.
Genius. Just genius.
When you first click on a link, Link Bubble intercepts it and loads in the background while you can continue using your current app. When it is done, a small chat-head-like icon shows up on the screen. Tap it and you’ll see the loaded web page displayed in a compact window. Genius.
Link Bubble can load several links in the background and makes sharing and adding a link to Pocket as easy as dragging it over to an icon. There is a free version and a Pro version for $4.99 that offers the full suite of features.
