New version of Moby
We have long covered location app, Moby, and today, the company is announcing Moby 2.0 for Android users with their newest version boasting a variety of new features surrounding speed and ease of use.
The company says “The new version of Moby is better all around – we’ve listened to you and have improved the interface to make it easier to use.”
The new Android app is up to five times faster and they say it is considerably more responsive to touch, with buttons that are easier to read and tap.
Keeping you connected
Rob Goehring, VP of Product Management and Marketing tells AGBeat, “The app is great for keeping connected with your family members while on the go. For Real Estate agents, there are tremendous safety benefits by being able to let family members or colleagues know where you are whenever you want. This is perfect for staying connected and safe at open houses, checking out vacant properties, or when you’re with new clients.”
Now, older events from connections (friends and family) can be viewed on the map, which is helpful not only for tracking the safety of coworkers or family, but to verify that everything on the team is running as smoothly as it should be.
Additionally, the newest version of the app shows the 100 most recent notifications recieved, more than four times in the last version. The “Alert” function has been removed to simplify the user interface, but users can still send location updates, check ins and messages to other Moby contacts.
“We have been very pleased with the feedback that we’ve received from our early testers, who have helped us iron out some of the last-minute wrinkles, and now it’s time to release it to the Android marketplace. It’s time to share it with the world,” the Moby Team said in a statement.
