A Spoonful of Sugar Helps the Medicine Go Down
“If you don’t pass this legislation, then … the EPA is going to have to regulate in this area,” the official said. “And it is not going to be able to regulate on a market-based way, so it’s going to have to regulate in a command-and-control way, which will probably generate even more uncertainty.”
How do you feel about this?
I remember the 70’s and 80’s, being a young married couple sitting in lines to get gas to travel home, as the United Nations began calling for a “New Economic Order” which in its essence was being pushed to transfer wealth from the Industrial Nations in the West to the Third World Nations via oil.
One of the major goals in Copenhagen is once again a transfer of wealth from the Industrial Nations to the Third World via the chanting of Save the Planet. Who will be in charge of the regulation of determining how much C02 will be allowed in each home or industry?
None other than the EPA and according to the above text by a member of the EPA .
Threatening if legislation is not passed this is what we will endure…. “Command and Control?” A term used by the military to exercise authority over forces to accomplish a mission.
Not regulated in a market-based way?
Threatening if legislation is not passed this is what we will have thrust upon us?
Checks and Balances
With 85% of our country being carbon based, any legislation should be passed through Congress, signed by the President and not pushed on us by government of the few. For most of our history, the balance of power between individual liberty and government authority was understood.
We have a system of checks and balances put in the Constitution because the Founders understood human nature and the ability to abuse power in all of us.
Rule of Law
The Rule of Law is that no one is above the law and the law applies to everyone. All of our Presidents, Congressmen, and Senators swear to uphold the Law and Defend the Constitution. The Rule of Law is what makes us a civil society, it is predictable, and prevents the abuse of power.
The EPA would do well to remember the Rule of Law and get rid of their “in your face”, if this is not passed, we will do this…anyway attitude.
Get the ideology and power out of climate control and let our elected officials make the laws based on good science.
