Gorgeous interactive polls
Our new favorite tool is Quipol, a new, beautiful site that requires no tech savvy to set up a multimedia poll with photos, videos, sharing options and a built in comment stream from social networks. Brilliant!
Quipol calls itself a social polling tool and says, “It’s a simple and elegant way to unlock the opinions and perspectives of your online audience. Quipol makes it easy to create social polls, share them with your audience, and monitor the results.”
The service is fabulous for bloggers as one question can be your entire blog post, and great for Facebook pages as it generates an embed code as well as a link to accommodate whichever use you deem most appropriate, rather than being limited or dictated to as various other polling options.
The steps are easy- sign up for a free account with little more than your name and email address, start a poll, upload a video or photo, ask your audience a compelling question with your 75 character limit and if you choose, you can add 350 characters in the body as context which Quipol suggests if you are using the poll embedded in a blog.
Next, Quipol generates an interactive results chart and allows Twitter and Facebook users to leave a comment which are then anyone can sort them according to thumbs up, thumbs down or by how recent they are.
