Two things.
1. Wedding voice with visuals, turns a mundane presentation, into a Swing From The Ceiling, Pink style presentation.
I’m in love with, and in awe of these Cognitive Media people.
I’ve never seen anything like it, and I can’t imagine the creative genius it takes to create even one of their Scribing, Visual Synthesis or Visual Communication pieces. Or what it costs. I’m looking forward to reading their, soon to be released, PDF, explaining the theories behind the how and what they do. If we follow their blog, we’ll know when it drops. I hope they release one of their videos on the subject. We’ll see. In the mean time, you can see an example of their art science work in the video below.
Anyway, I believe this, no matter how majestic, interesting or compelling the message, watching the speaker/creator deliver it on video or in person is way more understood, and powerful, than simply reading it. Listening to the speaker deliver their message, while simultaneously watching a Cognitive Media Presentation, trumps anything I’ve ever seen. The marriage of voice and visual, sends understanding, comprehension and brain waves, flame blue, lemon yellow and fire-engine red, sparking and arcing.
As individual real estate agents, we can’t afford to hire these creative geniuses to turn our marketing messages, presentations and value propositions into glittery Cognitive Media pieces (maybe a big broker could and should though), BUT, the take away is this:
When presenting, we can deepen the understanding, comprehension and appreciation of our value proposition if we include attractive visuals in our presentations. Attractive visuals could include all the practical good-stuff you could imagine. Everything from photos, to video, to testimonials, to samples, to notes on a yellow pad, to sexy presentations on your iPad, etc. The bonus part of this approach is your presentation is not missionary postion muggle, it’s entertaining, funer, impressive, remarkable and memorable, which makes you choosable and referable. That’s a good thing right?
If you’ve been primarily talk, talk, talking, start using sexy visuals in your presentations and watch good things happen. You know they will, if you will.
2. The Magic Powers Of Time
We all know about the importance of time management, but what I didn’t know was that people live in 6 different time zones. Not time zones like Central Mountain Time Zone, time zones, as in how time is perceived. The time zone we and our clients live in effects how and why we make life decions.
If you want to learn more about these Time Zones and the brain wave bonanza that can be created by wedding, visuals with voice, watch this video. It was created by the same people who created the video Lani shared a couple of weeks ago in her post titled, Brokerages of today don’t truly motivate or breed loyalty – why?.
Here’s the video. The Secret Powers Of Time.
I was wondering, when presenting, which in reality, is always, what visuals do you use now and what will you use in the future?
Thanks for reading. Cheers.

Does that video hit the target, or what?!
I’ve been contemplating what to do for videos for a long while now. The lines of — sold info, expertise in using that info wisely, and the visual aids (for lack of a better description) must cross. It’s been a daunting puzzle for me.

Yeah, this is the long way around, but for me, those videos add so much more meat to the taco. Pretty cool, and so bright.
Cheers.
PS. Speaking of taco, El Indio’s is the most awesome taquito place on planet earth. Anytime I visit SD, it’s not complete until I drop in there.

Agreed — try the Indigo Grill next time. Order the duck nachos. (not on menu, but they’ll do it.)
