The boot camp is complete with “speed dating” style meetings with Realtors and lenders lasting four minutes each to get answers to their most pressing real estate questions, a road trip walk-through tour of the home being given away to teach buyers what to look for while on tour, as well as first time home buyer panels discussing with consumers what they wished they had known when they were buying.
The day is rounded off with eight half hour mini seminars on various topics surrounding home buying and selling in today’s economy.
HGTV’s Chip Wade will also be on hand with a Curb Appeal neighborhood walk through and closing with a talk on Designed to sell.
The event is April 30, 2011 from 11am to 4pm and the Association and City of Rockford promise a pressure free event for both home buyers and sellers.
The two story home up for grabs at 948 Grant Avenue in Rockford was built in 1911 according to Realtor.com, and an estimated valued of $27,410 (as of April 11, 2011).
We’ve been encouraging agents and associations to get consumers offline in various forms and the boot camp format outlined above is one of the more elaborate, creative methods we’ve seen and we look forward to more events like this that focus on the consumer.
If you or your association is doing something cool, be sure and let us know!
