Cell Phone Plan Comparison Chart Helps You Choose Carrier

Mobile phone choices abound

cell phones
Several of us here are ogling over new shiny cell phone technologies and while we talk about the latest widgets and gadgets, many people are considering taking a leap of faith and choosing that new Google Nexus One, iPhone, HTC, Palm Pre or otherwise but there is one step that must be taken before signing a 290 year contract with one of the national cell phone carriers.

Earlier this month, we shared a mobile phone comparison chart outlining offered technologies, but it’s important to comparison shop not only those technologies but the prices to keep these technologies up and running. Each carrier has a proprietary phone technology, for example, AT&T has the iPhone, but remember that those contracts don’t necessarily last forever, so choose wisely.

Below is a chart by BillShrink.com outlining how each of the carriers charges users (click image to enlarge):

I am what you would call a loyal T-mobile customer. After being with them for a few years they offered me a plan that has unlimited voice for $49 a month. No one can beat it. The problem with all of this is there are sooooo many plans. Too many plans.

I use the Sprint unlimited everything plan (currently using the Palm Pre)… I have had great service with them.

I just bought the Blackberry Bold 9700. It is a fantastic phone, fast and reliable. Ilove it.

Coverage is also a major consideration for those of us who live in rural or mountainous areas. I don’t care if a call plan is $10 per month. If I can’t receive or make calls due to coverage, the cost is too high for the plan.

I currently use an unlimited voice and data plan through Verizon on my Blackberry Curve. My cell phone functions as my main business number, so an unlimited plan is necessary to avoid a massive bill during busy months.

The best cell phone plan available is Straight Talk. It has a $45 a month unlimited plan. Included is unlimited calls, unlimited texts, and unlimited internet. The service is great because it is carried on the Verizon network.

Well, I have Straight Talk on the Verizon network. Bought it at Walmart and it’s an amazing deal. The Samsung Finesse is a very cool smartphone and paying only $45 a month for unlimited everything is the best deal going!

    Who needs an iPhone? LOL!!
