Beware of hot strangers on Facebook
Recently, despite rarely friending strangers on Facebook, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse student Adam Bauer accepted a friend request from a hot chick and was quickly called into the police station where he was ticketed for underage drinking due to pictures of himself on his Facebook profile holding a beer. Along with eight others, Bauer was cited and fined based on photos on social networking sites.
Police are being criticized for being “shady” and for “invasion of privacy” while others argue this is a common way of tracking sexual predators and is becoming a part of modern policing.
KEYE TV News Web Producer Chelsea Stark said, “I hate the thought of this happening, but at the same time, posting on the internet — even with “protections” — is the equivalent of putting that picture on a billboard along the interstate. If people can be denied jobs for dumb Facebook photos, this might be the logical next step. But hopefully a good attorney will stop this. Crazy!”

Lani, when my kids were in high school, our Drug Administrator was on FB to see what kids were doing. I never head of any arrests but I know because he told the parents he was there.
