Facebook Timeline now available on mobile – and it is gorgeous

Facebook Timeline goes mobile

Last week we reported that Facebook was rolling out the new Timeline feature to all users and yesterday, the rollout was finally completed, going live for all users. Additionally, Facebook announced the mobile version of the Timeline features is going live and as seen above, it is a beautiful upgrade to the standard Facebook experience on a smartphone.

The Timeline feature on mobile starts with your unique cover photo and in October, we highlighted 50 examples with tips and best practices to help you select your own cover image.

On the new mobile app with Timeline features integrated, your updates now feature larger shared photos and the mapping feature is bigger and shows who you are with and where you have gone, all at a glance.

Facebook said in a statement, “Mobile timeline starts with your unique cover photo. As you scroll down, you’ll see your posts, photos and life events as they happened, back to the day you were born. Photo albums and other posts are horizontally swipeable, so you can quickly view multiple photos or posts inline without leaving timeline. You can also swipe through the views at the top of your timeline to navigate to your map, photos, subscribers and more.”
