What is an average user like?
Facebook has grown astronomically since its early days as a private college network to the giant global site of today. Although behaviors vary, the average of all users’ behaviors is quite revealing.
Facebook enjoys 52 percent of its users going to the site daily whereas LinkedIn sees only 6 percent daily visitor rates, not just because of popularity of Facebook but because the core function is more centered around engagement which is a major draw. Twenty six percent of Facebook users “like” a friend’s status update on an average day while only 15 percent update their own status. The trend of people liking updates and writing on others’ statuses more than their own is one we have seen for some time now.
