What a coincidence
Last month, Google announced “social search” and today announced “real time search,” both showing Google’s attempt to regain some of the market share they are losing to social networking as the source for answers. Ironically enough, Google CEO Eric Schmidt joined Twitter and within hours, real time search was announced. I suppose you have to be part of this movement if you’re going to corner the market, eh?
@EricSchmidt has already become a verified twitter member after two whole tweets and has already managed to follow very important people to start his Twitter entourage, including Heidi Montag (I wish I was kidding), Rachel Maddow, P. Diddy, Wyclef, Bob Saget, the Dixie Chicks, Al Gore, Jimmy Buffet, Chelsea Lately, MC Hammer and 50 Cent.
So Google says that social networking is where it’s at and they’re going to bump it to the top of the search page, so it make sense of Schmidt to hop on the proverbial bandwagon and join Twitter- how 2007 of him.

I love Chelsea Lately. #justsayin and fourteen other acronyms ‘n stuff. I don’t think many people who read AG know who Chelsea Handler is.
Lani, love you for that!

Seriously, you don’t think people know who that is? Seriously? (I said that in the annoying Gray’s Anatomy narrator voice)
