RIP, Google Video
This month, Google announced that Google Videos would be no more as of April 29 and playback of any videos hosted there would end. The user community did not react positively, so Google evaluated how the transfer of videos to YouTube would work.
According to Google, “Google Video users can rest assured that they won’t be losing any of their content and we are eliminating the April 29 deadline. We will be working to automatically migrate your Google Videos to YouTube. In the meantime, your videos hosted on Google Video will remain accessible on the web and existing links to Google Videos will remain accessible.”
Alternatively, Google Video users can migrate videos to YouTube now by opening the Google Video status page and clicking the new “Upload Videos to YouTube” button and following instructions (you must have a YouTube account).
