Meograph launches new interactivity features

Today, Meograph has announced they will be introducing new features allowing users to bring Facebook profiles directly into their media content, adding a layer of interactivity.

In July, we introduced you to Meograph, a new way to tell your story. It allows you to tell your story through maps, timeline, links, and multimedia to tell stories in context of where and when your most important events happened.

Creating your story is as simple as following a few simple prompts on an intuitive interface. Viewers get a new form of media that they can watch in as little as two minutes or explore an hour. Sharing is easy: the two most viral types of media are videos and infographics and Meograph is a merging of both. And now, it has gotten even better.

Meograph adds a dash of Facebook goodness

Meograph is announcing the release of the first social interactive storytelling, by bringing live Facebook profiles directly into multimedia content. Now, Facebook friend tagging is deeply integrated into Meograph’s creation and playback experience.

In addition to creating stories out of video, audio, photos, text, and links, Meograph users can add visually rich, clickable tags of Facebook friends. No other platform offers you the ability to embed a socially viral product.
With this capability, organizations are able to incorporate live visual links to social profiles embedded within their stories.

The tagged friend is notified and gets a Facebook wall post that links to the story and image from the content, as well as, a list of the other people tagged. By letting people know they are part of the story, you increase the “viral” quality of the content. Creating a complete presentation could take ten minutes, which is considerably fast since it could traditionally take a full day to make a similar multimedia story from scratch. This saves you time without sacrificing the embedded content you want.

More Facebook features to be added

Meograph states that soon after this update, the will be rolling out the ability to tag Facebook Pages, giving brands and celebrities a way to become part of the stories and driving traffic to their pages.

Meograph CEO, Misha Leybovich, states, “Meograph was already somewhat interactive with clickable links to any URL embedded into the content. Publishers really like the links: they drive traffic and allow audiences to dive deeper into the stories. Facebook profile tagging is the next step.”
