Mint.com’s expanding finance tool
Personal finance tool, Mint.com, best known for their mobile application has spent considerable time adding partners to their offering in an effort to help their users not only to track their finances, but to improve their finances. Mint.com offers sexy graphs and charts and goal setting tools.
Last fall, Mint.com partnered with Zillow to include Zestimates in their platform so their users can track values as one of their assets.
Now, Mint.com has announced a new tool to help their users “find mortgage savings” by searching for buyer loans and refinance loans. They have partnered with CrediSesame.com, “an online company that provides consumers with bank-level analytics for loan offers”
But aren’t they partners with Zillow?
It is interesting to note that Mint.com is not partnered with Zillow for their mortgage search option given that they are already intertwined, but it is possible that Zillow didn’t agree with the way Mint planned on presenting mortgage offers, or maybe Mint just got a better deal with a lesser known company.
Regardless of the why, we doubt anything nefarious but do note that Mint is putting quite an array of services together in one of the tech world’s most praised startups.
