The Center for REALTOR® Technology (CRT) at the National Association of REALTORS® has now launched an iPhone application called “Place Tags.”
The app, available for free in the iTunes store is a very simple geo tagging application used to add notes and photos to specific points of interest.
Erica Christoffer at REALTOR® magazine says, “Think of the app as a tool to consolidate listing information on-the-go. Do you have a client who thinks better when they have a map in front of them? Now they can put details, such as images and thoughts about a house and the surrounding community on that map.”
Keith Garner, VP of NAR’s Information Technology Services told us that currently, all notes created in the app are private for each user’s own use, but in the upcoming version, the app will offer an option to sync all tagged information directly to Google Maps for all to see.

Sounds like a great idea, but it just put my house on the wrong side of the lake!

Actually, liked it better when I realized you could change the address it give you! Seems to be pretty cool.

Will be interesting to try this app out and see what new versions of this app bring as time passes.
