The last post I wrote here on Agent Genius was about business planning and how I am struggling a bit with it this year. The post received several comments, many were lengthy, most were better than the post, and in every case the commenter put some thought into it.
The comments were very helpful. Some people read the comments and the post and either contacted me by email or by phone. We had some lengthy conversations about business planning, and how to run a successful real estate practice in 2008.
The phone calls and emails prompted a group of us here in the twin cities to meet next week and talk about some new ideas that we can use in our businesses. I will be giving a brief presentation on internet marketing and web 2.0.
My personal thanks to all who commented, wrote or called. Your help has been invaluable. The experience also served as a practical, tangible example on how social media works, and how ideas are spread, changed, and even improved as they are passed from person to person and discussed.
Lani never sent me the unicorn, the poop less pony or the red mittens that she promised me when she was so artfully persuading me to write on this blog. The rewards for my participation have already gone beyond mythical creatures and outer wear. 🙂
