New trend – skip college, found a startup?
With the rise in visibility of tech startups, many believe that college kids are dropping out to follow in the Steve Jobs and Bill Gates footsteps in lieu of completing their education. Tech advocates are encouraging brilliant kids to skip the debt of college and pursue their startup dreams, but are they following this advice? There is a growing belief that startup founders are starry eyed kids that live at home with their parents, and while there is a number of dreamers in that boat, most tech startup founders are highly educated, intelligent and driven.
