Stylebee, the Uber of blowouts, is at your fingertips

Convenience is consumerism key

If consumers love anything, it’s convenience. The modern day stimulators of the economy are coddled by convenience, what with most transactions going through websites or apps.


Many of these purchases are items that can be delivered right to your door, cutting out the middleman of a store. There are, however, still some services that require human interaction. But that doesn’t mean that usage of an app is out of the question.

Stylebee provides stylists in a flash

New service app, Stylebee, boasts “Beauty. On Demand.”

With use of the app, you have the ability to have blowouts and makeup delivered to your door.

The app works in a series of five steps. The first step gives a selection of services available for you to choose. These include: blowouts, updos, makeup, and face painting.

After making your selection, step two requires you to submit your location. Stylebee is currently only available in Los Angeles and San Francisco, but will be expanding soon.

Step three allows you visual access to your stylist. A photo and short profile are given about the person coming to your door.

Step four, the simplest of the steps, is the stylist comes to your home and provides their services. Finally, step five gives you the opportunity to rate your Stylebee stylist.

Services and standards

Some services offer a combination, including options to do a blowout with makeup or an updo with makeup. Curls are also an available service.

Stylebee’s website stipulates three standards they uphold in an effort to “revolutionize your lifestyle with beauty on demand.” The standards fall into the categories of: hiring trusted professionals, working for your convenience, and allowing affordable luxury.

While not stated on the website, some stylists are insured in an effort to protect themselves and their brand. To some, this may speak to the testament of trusted professionals.

Stylebee also works with wedding parties with a separate form on their website dedicated to the entire wedding process (showers, parties, etc.) This has the ability to work in their favor, as many brides prefer getting ready at home rather than rushing to and from a salon.

This app is perfect for someone who is new to an area and does not have their go-to salon. Being able to test stylists from the comfort of your own home may make that process less daunting.
