South By Southwest Interactive (SXSWi) will be held in Austin, Texas from March 7th-11th. People worldwide flock to Austin to attend one of three conferences in one: SXSW Film (the Sundance Film Festival of the States), SXSW Music, and SXSW Interactive (multi-media and technology conference). Great creative minds from across the globe converge in one city to share and promote the ideas of the future.
Agent Genius previously wrote about the keynote speakers appearing at SXSWi as well as the hundreds of speakers that will take the stage.As we gear up for this exciting week (and watch the available hotel space dwindle), the organizers of SXSWi have put together several mixers for people to attend to “network with like-minded geeks, [have] opportunities to grill SXSW folks about the upcoming festivals and conferences and giveaways of free conference credentials.”
The next mixer is in Dallas on February 4th, followed by the Austin mixer on February 11th (at Mohawk (recently named Esquire Magazine’s Coolest Bar In America)). Benn and I have RSVPd to the Austin mixer and would love to meet any of the rest of you there, even if you fly in for just the night. This is a great opportunity for those of you unable to attend the SXSWi conference- at least get your toes wet!
