So, your friend/client/relative living in far Southeast Austin calls and wants to meet you for coffee- they’re interested in moving to North Austin. You live in far Northwest Austin. Are you getting the map image in your head? Blech- that’s over an hour drive to their home. “Let’s meet in the middle,” everyone always says.
Then we have the conversation of “let’s meet at Kerbey Lane,” “no, I hate that place,” “what? I love it! Okay, how about Spider House for some coffee?” “I don’t like driving around campus.” Ugh. We’ve all had this balancing act of where to meet, right?
Lifehacker let us know that Mezzoman understands. Mezzoman is a new Google mashup where you enter your address, their address, and the genre you’re looking for (coffee? Italian? Greek?). Mezzoman plops a bunch of options that are conveniently placed between your addresses with the Google listing for that restaurant. How cool! They don’t have “mexican food” as an option which is about 93.8% of my diet, so I was mad, but I’m not going to lose sleep- they added an additional search bar and typing “mexican food” produced a LOT of results (hooray cheese and meat!).
So, next time someone across town wants to meet you for coffee or mojitos just pull up Mezzoman.com and save yourselves some heartache!

It’s great for a 2 party meet up, but you’re still left assuming if there are more than 2 of you. You can still figure it out, but at that point you’re pretty much doing it yourself.
