Gravity defying iPad stand
Hold on to your glasses, ultra geeks, this new magnetic iPad stand is a must for any industrial design enthusiast. The Magnus is “hand crafted for high-end workspaces,” and the company proclaims the greatness of the magic of magnets, which apparently are not damaging to the iPad.
Built specifically for the iPad 2, protective skins on the back of devices do not prohibit use, and they are very upfront about the speed of production as they hand finish all stands. The Magnus is built specifically for minimalist fans, and because it uses magnets, it is strong enough to hold an iPad up without anything touching the front of the tablet.
“A lot of hard work goes into each of these, and it shows,” the creators say. “Magnus is first machine-crafted from pure aluminum and then hand-finished using the latest manufacturing techniques. After that, customized magnets are installed into the base, and rubberized feet are fitted to the bottom surface. ”
The stand is perfect for iPad enthusiasts who have little desk space, or that frequently use Skype or Face Time from their device, or who use it as a second screen next to their computer. The Magnus is perfect for displays in expo halls as well, as it does not distract from any presentation on the iPad 2.
